Join us for a day of fun, fellowship, and fundraising at the Community In Christ Golf Outing on

September 9, 2024 at Verdict Ridge Golf Club in Denver, NC. This event will not only test your golf

skills on a beautiful course, but also support our youth ministry programs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The goal of this event is to raise funds that provide our youth with meaningful and impactful

experiences that help them grow in their faith and become leaders in our community. This

past year our youth participated in the following service projects:

​

• January 2024: Worked with Lutheran Services Carolinas in the purchasing and gifting of Halal

meat for recent refugee families.

• Fall & Spring 2023: Assembled Welcome Kits for Lutheran Services Carolina's New Americans

program (refugee program)

• Fall of 2023: Purchased and assembled food baskets for Angels and Sparrows holiday meals

• Summer 2023: Attended SparkDwell in Winston-Salem where youth were immersed in a range of

service opportunities with many of the projects geared towards the needs of those who struggle

with food insecurity and homelessness.

• Spring 2023: Served at Angels and Sparrows by assisting with maintenance projects and yard

work.

• Spring 2023: Created shower kits to be used for a shower ministry at The Dwelling in Winston

Salem

• Winter 2023: Assisted in creating and packaging Operation Christmas Child boxes.

 

By participating in this golf outing, you will be making a direct impact on the lives of our youth. CIC

Youth programs that this fundraising event supports are; ELCA’s National Youth Gathering trip (Senior

High youth), the CIC White Water Center Trip (Middle School and High School youth), CIC Rally Sunday

and End of Sunday School Year Fun Day (pre-school and elementary youth).

The 2024 CIC Golf Outing Event will kick off with breakfast & registration starting at 7:30am followed

by a shotgun start at 9:00am. Following golf, join us for a delicious lunch provided by Verdict Ridge

Golf Club. There will also be opportunies to win amazing prizes. You won't want to miss out on this

exciting day!
